Post-Surgical Rehab Approach
Pre-Surgical Prehab
If you have time before surgery, "prehab" can significantly improve your post-surgical outcomes by building strength and mobility beforehand.
Protocol-Based Progression
We follow current clinical protocols and your surgeon's guidelines to progress you safely through each phase of recovery.
Hands-On Therapy
Manual therapy to address scar tissue, swelling, and joint stiffness β critical in the early and mid phases of recovery.
Return-to-Function Testing
Objective benchmarks at each phase ensure you meet the criteria required before advancing β reducing re-injury risk.
Who This Is For
- βPatients in the weeks and months following orthopedic surgery
- βPatients who want to start rehab before surgery (prehab)
- βPatients whose post-surgical recovery has stalled elsewhere
- βAthletes pursuing return to sport after surgery
Common Questions
When do I start PT after surgery?
This depends on your procedure. Some surgeries (like TKR) require PT the next day; others (like rotator cuff repair) may require 4β6 weeks of protection first. We'll follow your surgeon's protocol.
Do you need my surgical notes?
It helps, but is not required for the first visit. Please bring any post-operative instructions your surgeon provided.
